

An affordable solution for finger motion capture of both hands, the X-IST DataGlove has a selection of embedded sensors in each Glove. You can use the bend sensors to measure the bend of each finger or fingerjoint and the touch sensors to detect touch of objects and measure the pressure applied (please note: this is a nonlinear sensor, no accurate measures can be made). You can also detect the 2 axis tilt of the hand (3D option),
The X-IST DataGlove is available as standalone-System with optional drivers and a lot of Midi functions via USB for music or light control performances. The DataGlove software offers realtime gesture recognition, calibration, templates, filtering, data record to file, realtime output to COM or LAN for analysis and research.
The X-IST DataGlove comes with the ADBox24, a microcontroller box which can host two DataGloves or 24 sensor channels simultaneously. The ADBox24 has an USB connector for power supply and data transfer. It is available as wireless ADBox24w.
Each DataGlove comes with either 5 Bend Sensors and/or 5 Pressure Fingertip Sensors, except the DataGlove HR (one hand), which comes with 14 or 15 Bend Sensors (2 or 3 on thumb, 3 on all other fingers). The DataGlove HR is available with additional pressure sensors (HR2 and HR3) and 3D option (Tilt) The X-IST DataGlove SP1 comes with long Bend Sensors (5 total, 1 for each finger) and Pressure Fingertip Sensors (5).
