            <title><![CDATA[Quick Glance 2]]></title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>Quick Glance 2 is a mouse replacement device designed for Microsoft Windows 98/XP. It allows the user to place the mouse pointer anywhere on the screen simply by looking at the desired location. "Clicking" can be done with an eye blink, a hardware switch, or by staring (dwell). What could be more natural?</p>
<p>Combining Quick Glance with an on-screen keyboard gives the user the ability to communicate with text or speech output. Various options for emulating mouse functions give the user complete accessibility to all Windows features including right clicking, dragging, and double clicking!</p>
<p>The software is designed to run in the background while the user is working with standard Windows applications. Quick Glance can be used for writing, surfing the Web, computer-aided design, games, and much more.</p>

<p>The software displays 16 targets on the screen, which the user looks at in succession.<br />Calibration done once and then used for subsequent sessions.<br />Multiple users allowed with individual calibrations saved for each.</p>

<p>The Eye Science software is designed for researchers who want to collect and analyze eye gaze data. It includes: 1) a control panel which allows for interactive control of eye gaze capture and playback, and 2) an SDK for interfacing with other software.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>Quick Glance 3 is a portable, compact eye tracker that is easily installed and transported on most Windows based computers.</p>
<p>Quick Glance 3 is a mouse replacement device designed for Microsoft Windows 98/XP. It allows the user to place the mouse pointer anywhere on the screen simply by looking at the desired location. "Clicking" can be done with an eye blink, a hardware switch, or by staring (dwell). What could be more natural?</p>
<p>The tracking module can also be purchased separately along with required mounting brackets for use on laptop computers, desktop monitors, and VESA mount monitors. Set up and adjustment are also significantly easier since all the optics are combined.</p>

<p>The Z800 Pro AR (Augmented Reality) head mounted display comes in either a single or dual VGA input version, standard or ruggedized. When both integrated cameras are attached to your Windows computer they will stream perfectly synchronized 800x600 3D to your PC applications. One camera can be used instead of the two for monoscopic viewing. The cameras and VGA signals can then be augmented by a PC and viewed together as a virtual image inside the glasses. The parallax-plane (convergence) of the cameras is manually adjustable to have realistic 3D-effects in different working distances.</p>

<p>The NuView adapter uses a LCD, flat polarizing beam splitter which allows two distinct views (left and right eyes) to enter the single lens of a camcorder, in order to provide a true Stereoscopic 3D image to be recorded and played back. <p><strong>How does DLP 3D work?</strong></p>
<p>Stereoscopic vision occurs because people see slightly different perspectives from their left and right eyes. Our brains fuse these together into a single image, and the differences between the two views enable us to perceive depth.</p>
<p>The components of the DLP 3D-PC, software, DLP monitor, and shutter glasses-all work together to create and present two different views to the user to generate apparent depth on a flat screen.</p>
<p>The PC supplies the horsepower to do the 2D to 3D conversion. The software analyzes video and stills and applies very sophisticated algorithms to the data streams to generate left and right and views, which then are sent to the monitor over HDMI.</p>
<p>The DLP monitor then presents each view in an alternating manner-first a left eye view, then a right eye view. This happens very quickly-120Hz, which is so fast people cannot see it.</p>
<p>The shutter glasses are synced up to the monitor, so that when a left eye view is presented, the left eye can see the image, while the right eye cannot.</p>

<p><strong>INNOVATIVE</strong></p>
<p>Real time tracking of 120 unique active markers. Unlike older optical systems, which uses passive reflective markers, IMPULSE utilizes patented active LED technology. Each individual marker is unique, thus eliminating the problems of swapping. Furthermore, active markers also removes marker drop-outs. Thus, even when a marker is occluded from the cameras, the system will still recognize the marker as it returns to view. As processing power increases, so will the maximum number of markers</p>
<p><strong>ACCURATE</strong></p>
<p>3600 x 3600 pixel resolution ( 12 megapixel equivalent). Each IMPULSE camera is equipped with two linear detectors, thus providing the equivalent of a 12.4 megapixel camera without sacrificing any speed in processing. By using sub-pixel technology, our system resolution has been increased to 30,000x30,000.</p>
<p><strong>FAST</strong></p>
<p>Data Capture Rate of 480Hz (480 frames per second). The IMPULSE system is capable of capture 120 markers at 480hz in real-time, giving the user the ability to record data at high speeds. While other led trackers claim high speeds, even in the thousands of Hertz, those frames are divided between the number of markers to track. Hence giving a pedestrian actual data rate. The IMPULSE system gives you 480 frames/sec with 120 markers.</p>
<p><strong>REALTIME</strong></p>
<p>Almost all motion capture systems have very large latency. This is because of their need to filter the data to produce ultra-smooth, unrealistic results. The IMPULSE system provides actual raw data that is so clean, no filtering is necessary. This provides precision data that captures even the most subtle motions like breathing. Furthermore, without the need to filter data, the system is capable of reporting data in real-time, with less than 10ms latency.</p>

<p>With On-board processing per Camera, the entire motion capture system can be run on one single PC with a single processor. Each camera measures 4.25" x 3.62" x 2.17" (10.8cm x 9.2cm x 5.5cm) and weighs in at less than 0.5 pounds (0.227kg). Scalable Architecture (4 to 24 cameras per system) allows users to customize their setup to meet their demands. From 4 cameras of a front-facing system, to 8 cameras of a single-body system, to 24 cameras of multi-body system, the IMPULSE can easily be configured and calibrated to any specifications.</p>

<p><strong>How It Works:</strong></p>
<p>The Virtual FX receives an ordinary video signal through a wire from your DVD, Video player, Cable box or Game console. It then sends the converted 3D Video signal through a wire to your TV set. The Converter System performs complicated mathematical algorithms which convert standard 2D video into Real 3D that can be viewed by watching your TV with the included 3D glasses. It does this by creating separate and distinct left eye and right eye images on your TV screen and displaying those images in an alternating format. The wireless 3D glasses included with this system operate by receiving an infrared signal transmitted from the converter box. The lenses of the glasses open and close in sync with the televised images ensuring that your left eye sees only the left eye image and vice versa, thus producing true stereographic 3D!</p>
<p>Virtual FX is a plug and play unit. However, it does have several buttons that are used to enhance the 3D experience. The Input button is set for the type of signal coming into the converter (Game system, 2D Video or 3D Video). The Output button allows you to switch between seeing a 2D or 3D video image. The Phase Adjust button switches between left-eye-first or right-eye-first video viewing. The Parallax (&lt;&gt;) buttons are used to increase or decrease depth perception and the Program Mode button allows you to choose from 4 video source presets (see below).</p>

<p>Two high-contrast SVGA 3D OLED Microdisplays deliver fluid full-motion video in more than 16.7 million colors and the specially developed optics deliver a bright, crisp image with a nearly 40 deg field of view.</p>
<p>Weighing less than 8 oz, the Z800 Pro Dual is compact and comfortable. While the OLED displays are only 0.59 inch diagonal, the picture is big – the equivalent of a 105-inch movie screen viewed at 12 feet!</p>

<p><strong>The Wireless Revolution</strong></p>
<p>LIBERTY LATUS represents a revolution in tracking, combining state of the art wireless functionality with unsurpassed performance. There are absolutely no wires--each marker is fully self-contained. Each marker is tracked in space by a receptor. Up to 16 receptors can be connected for hundreds of square feet of total coverage. For an even larger coverage area, multiple LIBERTY LATUS systems can be concatenated. Because of its short range distributed receptor architecture and enhanced signal-to-noise ratio, LIBERTY LATUS avoids distortion effects normally seen with long range electromagnetic systems.</p>
<p>Each system supports up to 12 markers. A proprietary magnetic data link ensures absolutely stable wireless communication regardless of how many markers and receptors are in use. The update rate is 188Hz for up to 8 markers or 94Hz for up to 9 to 12 markers.</p>
<p>The markers feature a compact design for seamless integration into your project. Each houses the electromagnetic source, control electronics and a lithium ion battery that provides up to 2.5 hours of power. The battery can be instantly removed for recharging. Each marker weighs 2 ounces and easily mounts on virtually anything, including the body with an optional body mount kit.</p>
<p>The receptors are small, lightweight cubes that can readily be mounted on practically any surface. Receptors contain electromagnetic receiving elements that detect the magnetic signals emitted by the marker(s). Each receptor has a 60 foot (18.3m) cable to accommodate large area installations. Each receptor covers up to 50 sq. ft. (4.7 sq m).</p>
<p>Incorporating the industry's most advanced hardware and software, the system electronics unit (SEU) processes signal from the receptors to compute position and orientation. The SEU conveniently connects to the host computer via RS-232 or USB.</p>
<p>Four receptor channels are included on the base product. The system can be upgraded to 8, 12 or 16 receptor channels by adding additional circuit boards to the same chassis.</p>

It’s a much more natural, free-flowing way to work. If you use a common interface, executing even simple moves requires a decision, then keystrokes and/or mouse clicks. This interrupts your natural motion, slowing you down and actually restricting you from attempting more complete or continuous motion. But, the greater flexibility and interactivity of a 3D motion controller makes even difficult moves easy. You're free to go farther and be even more creative.</p>
<p>Place your fingers gently on the controller's cap. The cap senses pressure you apply to it - pushes, pulls and twists - and uses that information to correspondingly move your model, camera or eye point on the screen. Pull up or push down to move your model, camera or eye point up or down. Push left or right to move your model left or right. Pull towards you or push away to move your model nearer or farther away. Orient your model on the screen by simply twisting in any direction to rotate it around the X, Y or Z axis (pitch, roll, yaw) You will quickly be able to combine all movements and control your 3D models with six degrees of freedom. The amount of pressure you apply controls speed of movement. A light touch moves your models slowly and accurately; just increase pressure to increase speed. It will be like holding your model in your hand - interacting in 3D as you do in the real world.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>The VisWall product is an affordable and scalable high resolution display. The tiled display wall is achieved by the highly accurate alignment of many separate projectors. The VisWall allows small groups of people to collaboratively examine incredibly detailed imagery or incredible amounts of information at once.</p>
<p>The VisWall is custom designed and built for each customer according to size and resolution needs. Parameters include individual projector resolution, number of projectors, and individual tile size.</p>
<p>Pictured on this page is the 15.7 Megapixel VisWall-20x from the Center for Computational Research at the University at Buffalo.</p>

<p>Many of these are interrelated. For instance, the depth of the display (the throw distance) is a function of individual tile size and projector model optics. Often, a customer has certain needs (e.g. aggregate resolution) and constraints (e.g. size of room) that help determine the appropriate solution.</p>

            <title><![CDATA[VisBlock]]></title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>The VisBlock product is a basic building block for very high resolution displays. VisBlocks are stackable and have a zero edge screen. This allows groups of VisBlocks to be arranged in various display configurations with no border between blocks. The small screen size gives the VisBlock high pixel density, allowing it to be used to create extremely high resolution displays. The small size also allows groups of VisBlocks to be easily reconfigured or transported.</p>
<p>VisBlocks are perfect for rapid experimentation with different display configurations such as planar displays of different sizes and aspect ratios, faceted displays, horizontal tabletop displays, and any combinations of the above.</p>
<p>Much like a VisWall, a display made of VisBlocks allows small groups of people to collaboratively examine incredibly detailed imagery or incredible amounts of information at once.</p>
<p>Pictured on this page are 18 VisBlocks from the Gigapixel Lab at Virginia Tech. Each VisBlock is WXGA resolution (1280x720) for an aggregate resolution of over 16 million pixels. Read more about VisBlock configurations below.</p>
<p>In addition to the standard VisBlock, we are available for development of custom block size and resolution for customers with special needs.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>The VisDuo is an affordable passive stereo display. The system includes two projectors mounted on a custom positioning system, a high-quality projection screen, and stereo glasses. A high-end graphics workstation is optional.</p>
<p>The VisDuo is a general-purpose stereo display system that can be used to display a variety of 3D stereo applications. Even applications that are not "stereo aware" can be forced to display in stereo by using software at the graphics driver level. The display is dual-use, it can also be used in monoscopic mode (one projector on) as a regular projection system for movies and presentations. The VisDuo is the perfect addition to any conference room or classroom.</p>
<p>The custom positioning system for the projectors is clean and compact, with the projector lenses only 5" apart from center of lens to center of lens. Compared to other systems for projector stacking that often have a separation of 12" or more, the VisDuo allows for close alignment of the two projected images. In addition, the modular design of the VisDuo allows the positioning system to be easily removed from the telescoping ceiling mount and used by itself as a portable tabletop projector stacker.</p>
<p>For XGA resolution, the complete system, including support and on-site installation, retails for less than $20,000.00 USD.</p>
